Most small sales teams run on personal phones and good intentions. Calls aren't logged, recordings don't exist, missed leads vanish, and coaching is a quarterly guess. Inside Sales Blackbox exists to close that gap — without turning a scrappy team into a call center.

The thesis

The phone is still where SMB deals are won — and it's the least observable channel you have.

Email and chat are logged automatically. The phone — the channel that actually closes business for a roofing company, an HVAC shop, a dental practice, a local agency — is a black hole. So we made it a blackbox instead: a managed line where every business call is recorded server-side, transcribed, scored against your scorecard, and written back to your CRM with a follow-up task.

The mobile app is deliberately boring to use — it looks like the Phone app a rep already knows. The backend is where the work happens. That split is the whole idea: a controlled business phone for reps, a cockpit for managers, and a pipeline that runs itself in between.

How we build

Four principles.

Visibility over vanity

We don't build call-center wallboards or dialer gimmicks. We build the smallest set of things that let a manager actually know what happened on a call.

Evidence by default

Recording, consent, and the audit trail aren't add-ons you remember to enable. They're the product. A blackbox you can switch off isn't a blackbox.

Zero rep friction

If reps have to change their behaviour, adoption dies. The phone should feel like the phone — the instrumentation lives behind it.

Provider-agnostic by design

Voice, CRM, and AI all sit behind clean interfaces. We're not married to any one vendor, and neither are you.
